The Third Annual Sauvignon Blanc Journey: From Vine to Vintage.
We are delighted to invite you to the third instalment of our highly anticipated Sauvignon Blanc tasting—a true highlight on our annual wine-tasting calender. Helgard, our winemaker, will personally guide us through the fascinating journey of Sauvignon Blanc, from its earliest stages in the vineyard all the way to the finished wine in the bottle.
This immersive tasting will start with the raw Sauvignon Blanc juice – freshly pressed and full of its vibrant, unfermented flavours. As we progress through the tasting, you will get to sample the juice at various stages of fermentation, offering a rare opportunity to explore the evolution of this iconic grape variety. You will have the chance to taste the half-fermented juice, experiencing the transformation of flavours as fermentation works its magic.
Moving on to the current vintage, we’ll experience the wine’s character fully realized, offering a reflection of the vintage’s unique growing conditions and wine-making techniques. As a highlight of the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the 2014 vintage, and so compare the wine’s ageing potential spanning its development over 10 years.
As a special treat, Helgard will unveil a sneak peek of the 2025 vintage—freshly bottled and available exclusively to our guests. This is a unique moment in the life of a wine, as the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc will not yet be available to the public, giving you the opportunity to showcase it to your friends and family before they’re able to purchase it anywhere else!
To complement the wines, we’ll have a selection of thoughtfully prepared sharing platters on the table, offering a light nibble to enhance the tasting experience. This event promises not only an educational and sensory exploration of Sauvignon Blanc but also an unforgettable opportunity to be a part of something special.
