Didn’t sit down for long enough to write his own..... he is the final approval stamp on everything that happens on Nitida from strategy, wine blends and water purification to label approvals. Knows a lot about a lot of things. |
Besides Bernhard and Peta there are just 8 permanent employees on Nitida. Klaas has worked on the farm for over 20 years, since before it was Nitida. Jacus has assisted Berhard in the cellar and on the farm since 1999 and is now managing the marketing of the Nitida wine brand. Moos and Hendrik work with Klaas in controlling the vineyards and have been with us since 1997 and 2005 respectively. Our gardens have been lucky enough to fall into the caring hands of “greenfingers” Mannie for over 10 years now and he is busy training the new but very capable Bennat in all things botanical. RJ joined the winemaking team from November 2007 and has already stamped his mark on the wines. Since February this year, Kerry has brought her extensive wine knowledge into the office and is quickly proving highly efficient and a wonderful sounding board. Getha continues to show her incredible organisational skills in running our monthly Nitida Food market. Obviously there are times when 10 people just won't hack it. Then - during harvest, pruning, heavy vineyard maintenance and when we bottle - we bring in a regular group of staff from the surrounding areas. |
Peta Veller
Unless you know my middle name and shoe size I am probably not the person you want to contact. I live behind a computer and work on the pretty stuff like labels, parties and brochures. I even make a mean cup of tea |
Jacus
I don’t really know what my job description is but I talk to a lot of people about Nitida wines. I am the voice of the brand to current and future customers and to our South African distribution network.

Stands for Reginald James and I am not someone you mess with - I am ferocious, obsessive and compulsive when it comes to protecting my favourite cultivars. Do not touch my grapes. |

The Face behind Nitida Facebook, although often found helping in the tasting room, I am the quintessential office accessory, making sure everybody knows what everybody else is doing and doing half of it myself! |
Getha
I manage and run the Nitida Food Market every month. If you have a superb product and are interested in selling at our market I am the person to call. If you just plain love good food, we can become friends and every month I will remind you about our next meeting of likeminded souls on the farm. |
